시구르드 라르센 디자인 & 아키텍처 Sigurd Larsen Design & Architecture
‘시구르드 라르센 디자인 & 아키텍처’는 베를린을 기반으로 활동하는 수상 경력의 건축 회사다. 2010년 설립 이후 덴마크, 독일, 오스트리아, 프랑스, 그리스, 뉴욕 등 다양한 지역에서 주택, 호텔, 공립학교 프로젝트를 설계하고 시공해 왔다. 최근 작업으로는 베를린 남쪽에 있는 호텔 ‘미셸베르거 팜Michelberger Farm’과 베를린의 스포츠·세미나 시설 ‘레이크 하우스Lake House’가 있다. 이들의 작품은 국제 잡지와 서적에 폭넓게 소개되었다. 베니스 비엔날레에도 전시된 바 있다.
시구르드 라르센은 조경과 건축, 인테리어에 이르기까지 개발의 전 과정을 아우르는 덴마크 전통을 따른다. 건축과 제품 디자인 사이에 뚜렷한 경계를 두지 않는다. 대부분의 건축 프로젝트는 지역 전통 건축 양식을 현대적이고 지속 가능한 방식으로 재해석하는 데서 출발한다. 물리적, 문화적 맥락 속에서 특정 기후에 대응해 형성된 지역적 건축 지식은 작업에 중요한 영감의 원천이 된다.
Sigurd Larsen Design & Architecture is an award winning practice based in Berlin. Since 2010 the studio designed and built houses, hotels and public schools in Denmark, Germany, Austria, France, Greece and New York. Recent projects are the Michelberger Farm, a hotel south of Berlin as well as The Lake House, a sports- and seminar building in Berlin. Along with being widely published in international magazines and books, the firm’s work has been exhibited at the Biennale di Venezia.
Sigurd Larsen follows in the Danish tradition of working on all aspects of a development, from landscaping and architecture through to the interiors with no strong divide between building and product design. A contemporary sustainable translation of vernacular architecture has been the guideline through most of the built projects. In any given physical and cultural context, the local knowledge of how to build in a specific climate is an essential source of inspiration.

시구르드 라르센Sigurd Larsen은 2016년부터 베를린 국제응용과학대학교의 교수로 재직하며 교육 및 연구를 통해 건축 설계와 시각 커뮤니케이션을 탐구하고 있다. 이전에는 뉴욕의 OMA Rem Koolhaas, 로테르담의 MVRDV, 코펜하겐과 베를린의 COBE, 그리고 베를린의 Topotek1에서 근무했다.
그는 코펜하겐 왕립 미술 아카데미 건축학과에서 석사 학위를 받았으며 독일 건축가 협회(BDA)와 베를린 건축가 협회의 회원이다.
Since 2016 Sigurd Larsen is Professor at Berlin International University of Applied Sciences where building design and visual communication is explored through teaching and research. Previously Sigurd Larsen was employed at OMA Rem Koolhaas in New York, MVRDV in Rotterdam, COBE in Copenhagen and Berlin and Topotek1 in Berlin.
He has a Master’s degree from The Royal Academy of Fine Arts, School of Architecture in Copenhagen. And is a member of the Association of German Architects, BDA and Architektenkammer Berlin.
